Literacy Policy [Rules 1-3]:


[1.] DN is a literate roleplay! One-liners and half-assed, barely-a-paragraph posts will NOT be accepted! The official MINIMUM for a roleplay post on this site is two paragraphs, each containing about five sentences! I understand that the occasional writer's block can be a pain, but please try your best. There's no need to fret over all of it, though!! If it seems like the length of your posts are growing ever closer to one-liners, we'll simply give you a friendly heads up! No worries, alright? Just try your best!

[2.] Mirror-posting. This method of posting simply means to please show other members the courtesy of putting as much effort into your reply as they did theirs. Imagine having just spent a good hour writing an excellent post and five minutes later, you are rewarded with a response that barely reaches the minimum post length. Not fun, right? Just try your best to be courteous in your replies. Thank you.

[3.] NO Chat speak on roleplay threads! Use the spell check! And put punctuation in and at the end of your sentences. It's can be difficult reading a post that lacks periods. Trust me.

Now. Please understand that none of these literacy rules were posted up to make your stay here on DN a miserable one! Please enjoy yourself and if you think you need advice or help on your writing style or length, ask anyone! The site is filled with other members who would love to help!


[4.] Fighting and the Death of Characters! It's important that everyone understands that if you have your character challenge another to a fight, you must be willing to handle any possible consequences to the battle. Do not place your character in a situation where they could easily be killed, for if the outcome is imminent death, then your character WILL die. Admins, however, will hold the official verdict if a fight reaches this level.


[5.] No Godmoding! I cannot stress this rule enough. It's self explanatory for the most part, but it also includes the act of giving your character an ability not specified by the Creatures board. Also remember that no character is invincible. Injuries will be made and received. Any member found godmodding will be immediately warned and punished if it continues!


[6.] Display Names! Once you create an account and activate it, please change your Display name in your profile to your character's name. That way, we can decipher that 'Fafferwickle1171' is actually 'Jason Cole' or whomever.


[7.] Problem with a member, either A: Take it to the Admins so we can mediate, or B: work it out through the PMs. Do not argue about it in the threads!!


[8.] You may not play more than three characters. This may be any combination of Lycans, Vampires, and/or humans. It doesn't matter just as long as each is created with a separate profile and there are no more than three!!!
