Werewolves
A werewolf is a human either born or gifted with the power to take the form of something akin to a wolf. No matter the shape, however, these creatures not only possess superior strength, highly sensitive sense of smell and hearing, and excellent night vision, but also incredible agility and unsurpassed endurability. Now, couple all this with the talent to heal most wounds through the act of shifting form and you have a beast that's damn near impossible to kill.
Natural-Born:
Capable of not only shifting into a half-breed form, naturally-born werewolves posses the talent to shapeshift into a true wolf. Albeit, they are slightly larger and a great deal faster than your average wolves.
Half-Breed:
A half-breed refers to those who were born human and lucky enough, or perhaps unlucky enough for some, to be bitten and transformed into a werewolf sometime in their life. They hold the ability to shift into a half-human, half-wolf form; also known as the Half-Breed form. This is the only other alternative shape they are capable of taking, however.
Warnings:
- Silver. Touch it, and expect to get burned. Get cut or impaled by it, and be prepared to have a wound that'll bring quite a bit of pain. Your best bet is to just steer clear of this metal...
- Shifting is a painful experience. Bones and ligaments are snapping and popping to take on a different shape. Now, aside from a werewolf's first shift, it's not agonizing. But it also isn't a walk in the park. The more relaxed you are, the easier the task of shifting is.
- Although minor injuries can be healed completely through shifting, the more serious ones will take more time and more shifts to mend. And remember, any wound made by silver is a severe one, and may leave you sore for a while even after healing.
- Be careful when you shift. The amount of time it takes to change forms depends solely on a werewolf's state of health and amount of energy. But even at their best, it can take up to a dozen seconds to switch shapes. And though it will not leave you completely vulnerable, it could be unwise to shift when fighting.
